We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team and drive growth in existing higher education, public sector, and corporate accounts while expanding our client base.
Job Purpose:
As a Business Development Manager, you will proactively manage and grow business from existing accounts and new prospects in the higher education, public sector, and corporate sectors. This role requires taking full ownership of client relationships, conducting regular site visits, and ensuring prompt responses for quotations and query resolution. You will work closely with our design team to deliver exceptional technical support, meeting and exceeding sales and margin targets while ensuring exemplary client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve/exceed revenue, margin, and service attachment expectations against targets.
Employ a consultative sales approach to understand customers' Audio-Visual and Unified-Communication needs.
Deliver compliant and professionally produced sales quotations and proposals within customer-defined/agreed timeframes.
Follow up on leads, close sales, and develop the existing client base.
Provide sales reports and pipeline updates, contributing to strategic activities and target growth.
Increase volume of maintenance contract sales and ensure promoter score retention through customer satisfaction surveys.
Conduct proactive, friendly sales support to clients and colleagues.
Demonstrate equipment, arrange demonstrations, and represent the company at events, client demos, and trade shows.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Proven track record in developing and selling integrated AV systems to the corporate, education, and/or public sector.
Comprehensive knowledge of installed audio-visual and unified-communication systems, including display systems, audio systems, signal processing, conferencing, and control equipment.
Understanding of marketing principles and features-benefits-solutions selling.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Performance Indicators:
Consistently achieve targets and KPIs set by the management team.
Measure and report the success of bid and win rates.
Achieve/exceed revenue, margin, and service attachment expectations against targets.
Ensure accuracy of the sales pipeline for weekly reporting.
Maintain high promoter score retention for responsible client accounts.
